California Coastal Horse Rescue

Dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and re-homing of horses in need. California Coastal Horse Rescue (CCHR) cares for those horses that no one else will care for. We provide food, shelter, rehabilitation, medical care, and adoption services for horses that have been abused, abandoned or neglected. CCHR's adoption placement service strives to locate loving homes for horses sheltered at the rescue. Potential homes are carefully screened, and every effort is made to match a horse with a compatible new family. Site checks are required as well as follow up visits to ensure both the horse and adoptive family are doing well. California Coastal Horse Rescue is comprised solely of volunteers who donate their time to feeding, exercising, grooming, stall cleaning, facility maintenance, fundraising and related activities.
