CANTER Mid-Atlantic

Equine Rescue. CANTER Mid Atlantic is a hugely successful group that assists in the rehoming of Thoroughbred Ex-Racehorses. Our success is entirely due to our fabulous volunteers, and supporters. In addition to visiting 7 tracks regularly to list retiring horses for sale on behalf of their owners, CANTER is home to up to 25 OTTB's that are donated to the program. CANTER-owned horses are rehabilitated, retrained and rehomed as part of our effort to help more Thoroughbreds. To date, CANTER USA as a whole has assisted in the transition of over 11,000 horses into new homes. CANTER organizations are entirely volunteer-run and every penny donated goes towards the care and training of racehorses in need.
