Welcome to High Sierra Wild Horse Sanctuary and Gentling Center. High Sierra Wild Horse Sanctuary and Gentling Center was established to help provide a safe haven or temporary home for titled BLM mustangs and burros when their owners are faced with unforeseen circumstances. We are also an educational resource for owners, adopters and trainers of all breeds of equines. Providing quality care for these beautiful animals is a labor of love and one we can't do without the help of wonderful volunteers. In addition to caring for these wonderful animals, our organization offers individuals the opportunity to provide these deserving equines forever loving homes through our adoption and foster programs. Nadia and Joe Lane, Founders of HSWHS, live on their private horse ranch in Lake Isabella, CA.
