Humanity for Horses

Horse rescue and sanctuary. We are a 501c3 non-profit organization, devoted to rescuing horses and animals from slaughter, abuse, neglect and abandonment, providing them sanctuary for the rest of their lives. Our sanctuary is located on 151 acres of pasture at the base of Mount Shasta in Northern California. No animal is adopted out. This is a protection against any further risk of abandonment or mistreatment. 100% of donations goes to taking care of our wonderful family of over 340 animals; 184 of them horses. We are accredited by the Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries, Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance and a GuideStar Exchange Gold participant. We believe to save an animal - is to save an angel.
