Misfit Acres Inc

Misfit Acres provides a permanent home for formerly "unlucky" horses. We would like to introduce you to Misfit Acres Inc, a 501C3 horse sanctuary and rescue located in southern Minnesota. Founded in 2004 and named after the Island of Misfit Toys featured in the classic tale Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer where any and all unwanted toys awaited a loving home, the concept behind Misfit Acres is to provide a safe haven for formerly "unlucky" horses. Once the horses arrive at Misfit Acres they will spend their remaining years on this property thus sparing them from abuse, neglect, and live slaughter for human consumption. There are currently 12 horses at Misfit Acres.
