Specializing in restoring health and spirit in aged mares. Our Mims Retirement Haven is a 501(c)3 charity that takes in retired Thoroughbred broodmares and cares for them for the rest of their lives. Set in the farmland outside of Paris, Kentucky, OMRH is now home to California racer Bel's Starlet, 1991 Maryland Million Lassie Stakes winner Missy White Oak, 1997 Breeders' Cup Sprint winner Elmhurst, and a host of other elder Thoroughbred broodmares. We are looking for volunteers to help care for the horses and perform other chores on the farm. Visitors are welcome, but you must call ahead for reservations.
