ZAR Horse Rescue, a part of Zoi's Animal Rescue

Equine Rescue near Tulsa, Oklahoma. ZAR Horse Rescue, a part of Zoi's Animal Rescue, is a 501c3 non profit rescuing horses that are primarily from kill pens, owner surrenders, auctions, and shelters. We identify horses that are in need via multiple channels, e.g., shelters, Facebook, Craigslist, auctions, and owner surrenders. After a 30 day quarantine, we obtain a current Coggins certificate, vaccinate, worm, float teeth, clean sheath, trim feet, treat illnesses, etc. and determine their level of training. In some cases, the horse will need extensive work to rebuild confidence and trust. In other cases, they just need a refresher on ground work and riding. We focus on Arabian and Arabian crosses but will accept any other breed. With donations from our sponsors and friends we restore their health and trust, evaluate their disposition and skills, and match them with appropriate homes . All proceeds go to the horses!
